Ian Lucas – Director, SeerPharma Australia (Keynote Speaker)

 

Ian Lucas is a Director at SeerPharma Australia, with decades of experience supporting life sciences organisations across Asia-Pacific in GMP, GDP, and quality system implementation. A respected industry leader and educator, Ian has helped shape compliance strategies for some of the region’s largest pharma and biotech companies.

At the Symposium, Ian will deliver a keynote session exploring how Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are transforming the future of GMDP — and what this means for regulators, RPs, and quality professionals worldwide.

Vikram Purewal – Healthcare Senior QA Manager (UPS Precision Logistics UK)

 

With over 20 years in pharma, medical devices, clinical trials, and controlled drugs, Vikram Purewal is a recognised leader in quality and compliance. As QA Manager across the UK and Brussels, and a certified RP on his company’s WDA licence, Vikram blends academic depth (MBA, MSc) with practical expertise. A qualified Lead Auditor across ISO standards, he brings a rigorous, risk-based approach to vendor oversight and GDP compliance.

Mary van Andel – QA/RA Manager & RP, Vygon UK Ltd

 

With nearly 25 years’ experience in quality and regulatory affairs, Mary van Andel knows how tough it is to balance compliance with operational demands. As QA/RA Manager and RP at Vygon UK, she brings a pragmatic, sharp perspective to evolving standards in both pharma and medical devices.

Andy Hughes – Senior Director Life Sciences, AIT Worldwide Logistics

 

 

Andy Hughes has been at the forefront of pharmaceutical logistics for over 30 years. From lobbying government on transport issues with BIFA to co-founding Pharmafreight — one of the first freight companies dedicated to GDP-compliant pharma distribution — Andy has shaped how medicines move safely across borders. Now Senior Director of Life Sciences at AIT Worldwide, he combines regulatory know-how with hands-on experience.
